Dear Parent:

I have the privilege of teaching English to your child this year. I hope that I can

maintain communication with you and your son/daughter. I have set up a web page so that

you may view your child’s assignments and homework. I urge you to visit

www.analyenglish.pbwiki.com and see some our upcoming projects.

          My goal is to increase your child’s love of literature, increase vocabulary, improve writing skills and

generally help him or her appreciate the written word. Your son or daughter can expect a ten word

vocabulary quiz every week. I have posted the words with humorous cartoons on my Analy web site:

Your child will soon be issued an English workbook, created and assembled by the English

Department at Analy. We are asking for a $5 donation to cover the cost of assembly and printing.

You son or daughter will use this particular reference throughout his/ her time at Analy.

Please feel free to email me with comments or questions (elynch@analy.org). I

will urge you not to leave a message on my school phone machine but to call me directly

(707- 824- 2381). I am ordinarily there most afternoons. Please plan to attend back to school night

(Tuesday, September 9th ).
